Questions

Before you pick one

What exactly is a solve?: One press of ⌘R and one answer back. It does not matter how much goes into it — the last 30 seconds of transcript plus three pending screenshots sent together is still one solve.
Does transcription cost solves?: No. Listening, transcribing and attributing speakers run for the length of the session and are unmetered. Only producing an answer consumes anything.
What happens when a plan runs out mid-interview?: Tokens cover the overflow. A plan that has spent its monthly allowance keeps working as long as there are tokens on the account — which is why tokens exist alongside the plans rather than instead of them.
Do I need a plan to install it?: No. The download is free and unrestricted, and the app records, transcribes and attributes without one. A plan or a token balance is what turns ⌘R into an answer.
Can I pay annually?: Yes, and it is the cheaper way to hold a plan: Pro is $20 a month billed annually instead of $25, and Max is $50 instead of $65.
Where do I pay?: In your account, never on this site — there is no payment form anywhere on understudio.app.
Can I cancel or switch?: Any time, from Billing & usage. Switching takes effect immediately and the difference is prorated. Purchased tokens stay yours either way.

Session history is capped at the 50 most recent rounds on every plan, and screenshots are kept as thumbnails. That is a property of the app, not of the plan you hold — no tier raises it.
