Where they differ
Final Round AI is a whole prep suite: mock interviews, a question bank, debriefs after each session, and the live CoPilot on top. Understudio is only the live part, and puts everything into the moment a question is asked.
The pricing works differently. Final Round AI sells unlimited live sessions for a flat fee. Understudio sells tokens, spent per solve and per hour of transcription. Packs need no plan and never expire, so you can skip the monthly fee and start from $9.
Where your sessions live differs too. Understudio saves transcripts, screenshots and answers on your Mac. Final Round AI's policy describes collecting session audio and screen captures, and using data for AI training.
Pick Final Round AI if
- You are on Windows.
- You want mock interviews, a question bank and debriefs in the same app.
- You want unlimited sessions at one flat price.
Pick Understudio if
- You want your sessions kept on your own Mac.
- You would rather pay for what you use than a flat monthly fee.
- You want to brief it before the call with your own Markdown notes, and see which note each answer drew from.
